Invoice detail: make tax and payment terms visible before sending

A clear invoice reduces follow-up. Review tax, due date, invoice number, and payment instructions before the client receives it.

The invoice total is only one part of getting paid. The client also needs to know what the charge covers, when it is due, and how to pay.

Use a consistent invoice number

Invoice numbers help both sides reconcile payment later. Choose a simple sequence and avoid reusing numbers for different clients or projects.

Separate subtotal, tax, and total due

When tax applies, show it separately so the client can understand the difference between service price and collected tax estimate.

Make the payment path obvious

Include accepted payment methods, due date, purchase order details if needed, and any short note the client needs for internal approval.
